Echelon, TEMA Bring in Over 100 Exhibitors for LonWorks Show

7/30/2003 - Echelon (NASDAQ: ELON) and TEMA AG announced a strong preliminary program for the LonWorld 2003 Trade Fair and LonWorks Developers Conference, the largest events worldwide in support of the LonWorks platform for networking everyday devices in buildings, factories, homes and utilities. The fair is on track to include over 100 exhibitors and already includes market-leading firms such as Honeywell AG, TAC AB, and EBV Elektronik. The 2003 trade fair will include a co-located LonWorks Developers Conference that is being jointly organized by Echelon, TEMA and members of the LonUsers® International User organizations in Europe. The LonWorks Developer's Conference contains two tracks, a business track that will focus on the LonWorks platform as a business advantage, and a technical track that will provide in-depth technical information to help companies create market-leading, cost saving solutions. Both conference tracks will begin with important information on the status of the LonWorks industry, trends in market development, and introductions to the latest products, platforms and solutions.

A new pre-conference session has been added to LonWorld 2003 that will introduce new users to the LonWorks platform. A Best Multi-Vendor Installation Award, open to exhibitors only, for the most outstanding multi-vendor application will be presented at LonWorld 2003. To qualify, applications must include LonMark certified products from at least 3 different manufacturers, the LNS® network operating system, and the application must be completed or scheduled for completion prior to December 31, 2003. IP integration and/or remote access over IP, though not a prerequisite, are recommended application features.

Visitors arriving at Munich's International Airport can reach the MOC fairgrounds by public transportation quickly and easily in approximately 15 minutes. An underground railway line serves the fairgrounds; during the LonWorld event, the trains will run every 5 to 10 minutes. Take the U6 directly to the MOC's front door (metro stop: Kieferngarten).
