7/22/2003 - Adaptive Digital Technologies, Inc. (Adaptive Digital), a provider of custom and standard DSP algorithms announced that it has signed an agreement with InSciTek Microsystems, Inc. to develop a turnkey DSP software solution intended to enhance the Allworx 10x(tm) system VoIP telephone capabilities utilizing Adaptive Digital DSP algorithms.
Adaptive Digital was selected by InSciTek to develop the turnkey DSP software solution for their VoIP telephone based upon the TI TMS320C5x(tm) DSP chip. The solution includes echo cancellation, voice compression, conferencing, and tone detection and generation. Adaptive Digital's solution was selected because of its superior echo cancellation technology as well as Adaptive Digital's ability to expedite the solution by leveraging its G.PAK(tm) VoIP platform.
"InSciTek's choice of our G.PAK(tm) DSP solution for their IP telephone is a testament to G.PAK's flexibility across the spectrum of telephony equipment." said Scott Kurtz, vice president of engineering.
Adaptive Digital's G.PAK is a scalable and configurable voice-over-packet DSP software solution that turns a digital signal processor chip into an easily controlled voice-over-packet engine. G.PAK provides all the DSP components necessary in a voice-over-packet system and provides an application interface to allow easy integration into a user's application. System designers can therefore leverage a proven solution, allowing them to focus their efforts on rapid product development. G.PAK application space ranges from client-side IP phone applications to high-density server-side echo cancellation, conferencing, voice recording, and gateway applications.
InSciTek's Allworx 10x(tm) system brings together voice, data networking, messaging, group productivity and Internet access in a single appliance with a single purpose: to optimize small business operations cost-effectively. It combines PBX functionality with network services, Internet access, remote access, and group collaboration tools. It is designed to be unprecedented in its simplicity, comprehensiveness, and affordability.
