TI Names New Director for Board

7/21/2003 - TI announced that Richard K. (Rich) Templeton, chief operating officer of the company, has been elected to its board of directors.

Mr. Templeton, 44, has been chief operating officer since 2000. Since 1996, he has been president of the company’s Semiconductor Group and executive vice president of TI.

Mr. Templeton joined TI in 1980 in the Semiconductor Group’s sales and marketing organization. He became a TI vice president in 1991 and was promoted to manager of worldwide application specific products in 1993, with responsibility for a wide range of products including digital signal processors. He became a senior vice president in 1994. Mr. Templeton holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Union College.
