Cadence's VCAD Services Leads to Nanotron's nanoNET TRX RF Chip Design

7/9/2003 - Cadence Design Systems, Inc. and Nanotron announced that Cadence's services played a key role in delivering Nanotron's nanoNET TRX RF chip design.

Nanotron, a Germany-based wireless technology IP & chip design provider, leveraged Cadence's "Virtual Integrated CAD" (VCAD) services to overcome new challenges in Nanotron's groundbreaking physical-layer (PHY) technology—nanoNET TRX RF chip design—which the company says is far more reliable and efficient than Bluetooth or WiFi in terms of bandwidth, transmission power, data rate and cost. The approach allowed Nanotron to focus on its primary objective of architectural and product design, while Cadence, with expertise in managing design infrastructure, supported the company's product design teams and helped them implement and verify the design.
