7/9/2003 - IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, announced the release of ZebOS® Server Routing Suite (SRS) version 1.5 with new features and enhancements that improve functionality and usability for complex enterprise and ISP environments. The ZebOS SRS 1.5 release reiterates IP Infusion’s commitment to meet and exceed the needs of its customers by incorporating important, customer-driven product features.
ZebOS SRS 1.5 provides IPv4 and IPv6 RIP, OSPF and BGP routing for Linux, Solaris, and FreeBSD platforms. In addition, it supports optional PIM-SM multicast and MPLS-VPN switching packages for Linux. Its modular, scalable architecture enables each routing protocol to operate independently, allowing new routing protocols to be added or upgraded without affecting other routing processes. ZebOS SRS also provides an industry standard command line interface, SNMP management support, and extensive debug and syslog logging.
New features available in ZebOS SRS 1.5:
“Our latest ZebOS SRS release significantly improves the price/performance and functionality of our server routing solutions. With ZebOS SRS 1.5, customers can quickly deploy routing software in their networks and take advantage of the advanced features they have come to expect in their routing equipment,” said Gary Hemminger, VP of Marketing at IP Infusion. “ZebOS SRS allows enterprises and service providers to leverage the same advanced networking technology used by core and edge equipment vendors to build scalable routing and security appliances.”
ZebOS SRS is an easy-to-install software application that extends enterprise-class IPv4 and IPv6 routing, multicast and MPLS-VPN switching to servers and appliances. Using ZebOS SRS, enterprises and service providers can transform their servers and appliances into full function routers for their network access, security, and high availability requirements.
