MontaVista Names New Vice President of Business Development

7/9/2003 - MontaVista Software Inc., the company powering the embedded revolution, announced that Judith Davis Wheatley has joined its management team as vice president of Business Development. In this position she will lead business development strategy and initiatives at MontaVista Software, further expanding and strengthening relationships with key strategic partners worldwide.

Ms. Wheatley has twenty years of experience building sales through strategic alliances for high technology companies. She comes to MontaVista after a two-year sabbatical. Previously, Judith held positions as vice president of Corporate Strategy and vice president of Strategic Alliances at Documentum, Inc., a leading provider of content management solutions. In this capacity, she successfully helped reposition the company and developed a new strategic alliances plan that resulted in record revenue growth. Before that she was a senior management consultant at Kappa East, vice president of Marketing at Objective Systems Integrators, director of Alliances at Sybase, and held various management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation.

VDC’s end-user survey also demonstrates that more than 20 percent of all embedded Linux projects currently under development are based on MontaVista® Linux.
