7/8/2003 - With two venues left on its worldwide tour, Programmable World 2003, sponsored by Xilinx Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) and a host of industry leaders, has delivered in-depth technical training on the latest programmable technologies to over 4,000 engineers, system architects, managers, and academia worldwide. Programmable World 2003 first opened at 18 venues across North America, Europe, and Japan in May and June, and is concluding its world tour in China and Taiwan this August. Programmable World 2003 is speeding time-to-knowledge on the latest breakthroughs in programmable technology through keynotes delivered by industry visionaries, technical sessions and panels, and demonstrations by 30 leading companies presenting tomorrow's DSP, connectivity, processing, silicon and software solutions.

Xilinx and Partners Host Programmable World Workshops
As a follow on to Programmable World 2003, Xilinx and its partners are delivering Programmable World Workshops - a series technical training workshops sponsored by IBM, Agilent, Cadence, and Xilinx as well as Texas Instruments, Wind River Systems, The MathWorks, Mentor Graphics, Synplicity, Synopsys, Intel, Celoxica, Nallatech, and Altium. Scheduled in over 20 cities throughout North America, Europe, Japan and Asia Pacific in September through November, the Programmable World Workshops are expected to draw a record number of engineers interested in receiving training from the biggest names in the EDA and semiconductor industries. Attendees will be introduced to key technologies and leading edge solutions that are influencing a new era of system design and will dramatically change the way applications are being designed. Workshop participants will also receive information on the next-generation EDK and ISE software technology from Xilinx.
The first Programmable World 2003 workshop will take place in San Jose on September 3, 2003. The workshops will consist of four tracks and will include technical sessions from Agilent, Altium, Cadence, Celoxica, IBM, Intel, The MathWorks, Mentor, Nallatech, Synplicity, Synopsys, Texas Instruments, Wind River Systems and Xilinx.
