Educators Benefit from Agilent's New Software Licensing Options

6/24/2003 - Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) announced the availability of new licensing options for engineering educators. The options include expanding the popular Agilent VEE Graphical Programming Environment seats supported from 40 to 50, which significantly reduces the cost per seat for university installations, as well as offering a similar licensing package for the Agilent T&M Programmers Toolkit.

The T&M Programmers Toolkit version 1.1, an enhanced software suite, supports both the current Microsoft(r) Visual Studio .NET and the 2003 version. Engineering students can now use conventional software tools that are commonly utilized in the test industry. By using the T&M Toolkit 1.1 they'll benefit from a simplified process to create, debug and run test and measurement control software. Compiled or deployed test programs can be executed on the Microsoft Windows(r) operating system that supports the .NET Framework.

"By providing supported seats for Agilent's Toolkit and expanding the Agilent VEE seats to 50, our university is offering more real-life tools to our students to make them competitive in the marketplace," said Professor Albrecht Rost of the University of Applied Sciences in Merseburg, Germany. "Agilent's commitment to working with educational institutions goes beyond selling products to building successful engineering leaders for the future."

U.S. Pricing and Availability
The 50-seat licenses for both the Agilent VEE Education product (W1140A-FC1) and the Agilent T&M Programmers Toolkit Education product (W1140A-FC2) are priced at $1,395 each. University discounts apply.
