6/18/2003 - Test engineers now can use National Instruments free Interchangeable Virtual Instruments (IVI) Compliance Package to build test systems that are fully compliant with the latest IVI Foundation specifications.

The IVI Compliance Package features compliant drivers and utilities including updated configuration tools through the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) hardware configuration tool; updated class and specific drivers; class drivers for the three new instrument class specifications of spectrum analyzer, RF signal generator, and power meter; and an updated IVI engine that uses the latest IVI Foundation shared components.

With the IVI drivers and utilities, test engineers in various industries, including military and aerospace, use IVI to build long-life, interchangeable test systems that they can easily maintain and update for 20 or more years with minimal software changes. The IVI Compliance Package works seamlessly with NI LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio and TestStand.
