6/12/2003 - Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq: MENT) announced the acquisition of the assets of DDE-EDA A/S, a Denmark-based supplier of advanced packaging solutions for the telecommunications, automotive, military and aerospace industries. With this acquisition Mentor gains technology and additional expertise in multi-chip modules, hybrid, radio frequency, integrated circuit package, embedded component and direct chip attach design.
As well as supporting DDE-EDA's existing products for their installed base, Mentor Graphics' Systems Design Division will integrate this technology into the Board Station® and ExpeditionTM solutions to provide Mentor's worldwide customers with advanced packaging capabilities. Engineering of this technology will remain in Denmark. Sales and support of the technology will be through Mentor Graphics' worldwide direct sales channel and Customer Support organizations.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
