IBASE Rolls Out Pentium 4 SBC with Intel 865G Chipset
6/9/2003 - IBASE Technology Inc., a pioneer in the design and manufacture of Pentium 4 single board computers, introduces IB840, an Intel Pentium 4 CPU Full-size CPU card based on the Intel 865G chipset, which supports the latest IntelR Pentium 4 processor of up to 3.2GHz clock speed on 800MHz Front Side Bus. Offering most-advanced functions for highly competitive price, IB840 also integrates Gigabit LAN and USB2.0 technology to enhance the performance in data transfer.
Featuring DDR 266/333/400 (maximum capacity 2GB), IB840 is on the cutting edge of Pentium4 SBC products. The 865G chipset integrates VGA support for CRT, although the board offers MicroAGP flexibility for users with a choice of ATI Mobility M7 with 32MB frame buffer or ATI M9 graphics controller with 64MB frame buffer for higher VGA performance and a variety of display interface such as LVDS, TMDS and second CRT. A separate LVDS MicroAGP card is also available. An optional Gigabit LAN controller and built-in USB2.0 ports provide wider bandwidth for intense network environment and faster connection for peripherals.
Additionally, IB840 is equipped with two serial ATA ports that provides a transfer data rate of 150MB/sec with extremely reliable accuracy, faster than today's "parallel" ATA internal disc drive bus. For rugged and demanding applications in industrial automation, image processing, multimedia and telecommunications, the IB840 is a compelling choice for a wide range of applied computing solutions.
