5/28/2003 - IDTTM (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Nasdaq: IDTI), a leading communications IC company, announced a new family of T1, E1 and OC-3 WAN PLL products designed to accept one or two timing references derived from the network clock, lock to them and generate multiple output frequencies with the phase aligned to those references. These devices distribute clock and frame pulse signals that meet input requirements for framers, TSI switches, DSPs and other ASSP, ASIC and FPGA devices. The new WAN PLL products offer industry-leading jitter performance across all frequencies as well as the highest frequency accuracy. The devices meet Telcordia’s GR-1244 requirements for Stratum 3/4/4E (3012 and 3002A) or Stratum 4/4E (3011 and 3001A) and the ITU’s G.813 option 1.
The T1/E1/OC-3 and T1/E1 WAN PLLs expand on the functionality found in the company’s existing WAN PLL products. The T1/E1/OC-3 devices offer a multiplexed T1/E1 output pin, enabling selectable support for T1 and E1 clocks without using an external multiplexer. They also provide both CMOS and LVDS outputs on the 19.44-MHz clock for a low-noise clock source and a 32-MHz clock output for high-speed PCM and TDM interfaces. In addition, the new WAN PLL products share a similar pinout with the company’s existing WAN PLL devices, enabling board designers to provide for an easy migration path throughout the family with a single layout.
The IDT WAN PLL devices are currently sampling with production quantities available in Q3CY03. Volume pricing for the dual-reference T1/E1/OC-3 WAN PLL products starts at $28.74 in 10,000-unit quantities, while the dual-reference T1/E1 WAN PLL devices start at $22.11 in 10,000 unit quantities. Volume pricing for the single-reference T1/E1/OC-3 WAN PLL products starts at $12.99 in 10,000-unit quantities, while the single-reference T1/E1 WAN PLL devices start at $9.99 in 10,000 unit quantities.
