Motorola Goes West to Expand Embedded Tools for Defense and Aerospace

5/16/2003 - Motorola Computer Group, a part of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), announced it has extended its sales reach in California, Nevada and Hawaii through an agreement with West Coast Reps, an authorized manufacturers' representative focused on embedded computing products for defense and aerospace customers. The agreement between Motorola and West Coast Reps will enable Motorola to provide the high level of customer service required in the region's fast-paced business environment. Other key vendors in the embedded industry, including Interphase Corporation, also utilize the professional services offered by West Coast Reps.

The West Coast Reps team will be actively involved in selling Motorola's standards-based embedded computing building blocks, including open-architecture hardware, rich software and application-ready platforms built on VMEbus and PICMG® standards.
