5/14/2003 - austriamicrosystems AG announced the extension of its design environment support based on the Mentor Graphics® IC design flow. This includes high-performance design kits (HIT-Kits) for analog/mixed-signal (AMS) and radio frequency (RF) designs on austriamicroysystems' 0.35µ CMOS and BiCMOS process technologies. The HIT-Kit comes complete with custom analog and RF devices as well as standard cells and IOs, enabling rapid design starts of complex mixed-signal ICs.

austriamicrosystems' 0.35µ process nodes are especially attractive for small to mid-size projects - they provide a low barrier to entry in terms of significantly lower mask count and NRE charges without sacrificing on analog/RF performance.

The 0.35µ AMS and RF HIT-Kits contain a complete set of analog, RF, standard cell, and IO components necessary to rapidly get designs off the ground using Mentor Graphics tools. This includes schematic symbols for the Design Architect®-IC tool with pre-defined properties for the Eldo tool and the ADVance MS simulation tool, device generators and process definition files that can automate layout entry in the IC Station® tool, and the "golden foundry" Calibre® DRC/LVS rule files.
