William H. Kurtz Joins PMC-Sierra's Board of Directors
5/8/2003 - PMC-Sierra(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:PMCS - News) announced that Mr. William H. Kurtz has been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Kurtz is also a nominee for election to the Board at PMC-Sierra's upcoming annual stockholders' meeting on May 15, 2003.
Mr. Kurtz is a certified public accountant with 24 years of financial and operating experience at both start-ups and large global enterprise companies. He is currently Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at 3PARdata, a privately held storage product company. Prior to joining 3PAR, Mr. Kurtz was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Scient Corporation, a global e-business systems integrator and Internet consulting company. He also held a number of high-level operations and finance positions during a 15-year career at AT&T including Vice President and General Manager-AT&T Cost Czar, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Business Markets Division, and Financial Vice President of AT&T Wireless.
Mr. Kurtz has served on the Board of Directors of Redback Networks for three years and currently serves on Redback's Audit Committee. He has a master of science degree in Management from Stanford University and has a bachelor of science degree in Commerce from Rider College.
