Micro Digital Rolls Out SMX for ColdFire 5282 Processor, CodeWarrior V4

5/5/2003 - Micro Digital announced availability of SMX for the new ColdFire 5282 processor and for the new CodeWarrior V4. The smx high-performance, multitasking kernel includes a new smxBSP specifically for the CF5282. It provides support for interrupts, timers, and UARTs. smxNet includes a driver for the improved FEC (Fast Ethernet Controller) on the 5282 chip.

Changes have been made to support CodeWarrior V4, which is required for the CF5282. smxAware has also been updated.

A free evaluation kit may be downloaded from www.smxrtos.com/eval. This eval kit includes smxCF, smxNet, smxBSP, and smxAware for CodeWarrior.

Pricing and Availability
Available now. Eval kits are free to qualified evaluators. Licenses for smxCF start at $7000. The smx + smxNet bundle is priced at $14000. Prices are royalty-free, no per-seat charges, and include 6 months of support.
