B-K Medical Debuts New Viking 2400 Premium Class Ultrasound Scanner

4/30/2003 - B-K Medical A/S, a wholly owned subsidiary of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), premiered its new Viking 2400 premium class ultrasound scanner at the Euroson 2003 congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Viking 2400 brings application-specific ultrasound to a new level, combining premium class image quality with the highly specialized transducers prized by B-K Medicalís many customers in surgery, urology and other specialized areas.

The Viking 2400 exploits the latest technologies for producing superb, sharp images as well as uniform quality throughout the image field. It features digital filtering, extended aperture technology, and parallel quad-beam signal processing, and supports scanning frequencies of 1-20 MHz.

People work in different ways, so the Viking 2400 includes numerous mechanical and software features that make it easy for users to customize the system and work the way they prefer.

The Viking 2400 is supported by a wide range of specialized transducers, including B-K Medicalís new 8809 transducer for high resolution scanning in difficult to reach areas.
