4/29/2003 - Applied Logic Engineering (www.appliedlogiceng.com) announced the release of two technical manuals for developers of embedded systems. These technical manuals will help designers easily implement various design elements to their new or existing project work.
8051 Interfacing and Applications covers both the basic hardware and software elements of working with the 8051 microprocessor. Complete design concepts are explored (including schematics and source code) to demonstrate implementation of various peripheral elements of a single board computer, including interfacing to LCDs, parallel ports, serial ports, keypads, and basic I/O implementation.
Sony Control-L (LANC) and Control-S Interfacing and Design Guide covers hardware and software solutions for designing embedded systems that can control Sony consumer electronic equipment such as camcorders, VCRs, etc. from an embedded system. A complete embedded design using a Microchip PIC controller is presented, including full schematics and source code.
Both manuals are available in .PDF format and can be immediately downloaded from the company's web site.
