4/9/2003 - Brooktrout Technology, Inc., a leading supplier of media processing, network interface, call control and signal processing products, announced its Early Access program, providing developers a jump start on development on Brooktrout’s next generation products to help them get to market faster. Under non-disclosure, partners will receive early access to next generation hardware and software platforms, technical documentation, an assigned technical resource, development training and support, discussion and feedback conferences with Brooktrout engineers, and marketing support.
“Brooktrout knows what it takes to get to market quickly and makes it a priority to support our partners through their development cycles,” said Peter Vescuso, vice president of market development for Brooktrout Technology. “With the Early Access Program, we offer comprehensive developer to developer exchange, hands-on-training, porting expertise and assistance, voice and fax documentation and voice and fax technical support.”
Brooktrout is currently offering developers early access to the next generation of its TR1000TM speech recognition platform, and its TR1034TM high-density intelligent fax platform. These new products will provide more protocol support and a software architecture that is easier to deploy, manage and use.
Today Brooktrout’s TR1000 provides an open systems, board-level platform for carrier-grade enhanced services applications. It supports vendor-independent, automatic speech recognition (ASR) and text to speech (TTS), delivering the industry's highest density ASR platform with full-duplex capability and echo cancellation on all channels, which provides for more scalable solutions at a lower per-port cost. The TR1000 is optimized for carrier-grade speech solutions, such as speech-enabled unified communications, Internet voice messaging, personal agents (find me/follow me services), and automated operator services.
Brooktrout’s TR1034 high-density fax platform delivers fast 33.6Kbps fax transmission speeds, up to 30 fax channels per board, and features an onboard T1/E1 interface-all with the performance and reliability that has made Brooktrout the world leader in intelligent fax boards. Unparalleled performance, carrier-grade reliability, single-slot footprint, and the flexibility to adapt to changing needs all contribute to reducing the overall cost of ownership, simplifying installation, minimizing ongoing management, and providing the highest level of dependable performance.
Brooktrout’s Early Access users can also take advantage of Brooktrout’s unique Partner Access Network ProgramTM, a comprehensive, worldwide program providing many distinct benefits for its customers and partners including financial assistance for the porting of approved applications, access to potential funding sources, access to lab facilities worldwide, sales leads, technical training and support, and co-op funded marketing support. The program offers strategic benefits to OEM developers, technology partners, resellers, and ISVs, and is designed to help them develop new applications and services, expand into new markets and, ultimately, grow their businesses.
