3/27/2003 - Computer Access Technology Corporation (CATC) (Nasdaq: CATZ), a communications protocol expert company and a leading provider of advanced verification systems and connectivity products for digital communications standards, announced an alliance with Hyper Corporation to create and market the BlueVision Verification Suite for Bluetooth compliance testing. Hyper Corp. is a leading provider of Bluetooth Qualification Services, offering one of the first certified Bluetooth Qualification Test Facilities (BQTF) in North America as well as multiple Bluetooth Qualified Bodies (BQB) on staff. The BlueVision test suites are the most cost effective testing solution for Bluetooth product developers and manufacturers; enabling extensive in-house verification testing to assure first pass success when certifying their products at a BQTF.
The BlueVision Verification Suite was developed to work in tandem with the CATC BTTracer/Trainer, a Bluetooth V1.1 certified analyzer/exerciser (see CATC release dated March 11, 2003). This powerful design and debug expert system allows developers to quickly identify and correct conformance issues. BlueVision incorporates a comprehensive package of Bluetooth test suites for all levels and types of certification. Users can purchase test suites that specifically address their unique product certification requirements, allowing them to maximize their design and test budgets.
"We evaluated many Bluetooth test solutions and found the CATC analyzers to be far superior to all other products available today," said Kevin Marquess, CTO of Hyper Corporation. "With the BTTracer/Trainer's powerful visualization, you can identify and quickly resolve even the most difficult problems. The continuous testing option of the verification suite identifies intermittent problems that can kill even a great product."
"Hyper Corporation has worked extensively with Bluetooth radios, protocols and profiles. Their expertise in developing test environments uniquely complements CATC's goal to provide cost efficient, powerful Bluetooth test and verification solutions to our customers," commented Joe Mendolia, Bluetooth business manager for CATC. "The BlueVision line of verification test suites enables you to shorten your path to product launch and sets a completely new price point as compared to traditional compliance methods. We look forward to continuing to expand our relationship with Hyper Corporation."
BlueVision Verification Suites test extensively all Profile/Protocol conformance areas. The first four test suites to be introduced are:
