M-Systems Releases New Ultra Narrow SCSI Solid-State Flash Disk

3/26/2003 - M-Systems (Nasdaq: FLSH), a leader in flash-based data storage products, announced the release of its new solid-state flash disk with Narrow SCSI interface.

The new FFD 3.5" Ultra Narrow SCSI is a solid-state disk with no moving parts, available in capacities ranging from 512 megabytes to 35 gigabytes in standard 3.5" form factor. It complies with SCSI-2 and SCSI-3 standards and provides sustained read/write performance of 17 megabytes per second and 11.5 megabytes per second respectively.

"The FFD 3.5" Ultra Narrow SCSI is ideal for many retrofit and modernization programs within the military, aerospace, telecommunication, public safety and factory automation that are looking for a reliable data storage using the Narrow SCSI interface," said Ofer Tsur, M-Systems' marketing manager for FFD products. "Operating reliably in harsh environment conditions, it complies with MIL-STD 810F and NEBS level 3, while providing high flash disk performance and capacity."

M-Systems' IDE and SCSI product lines are state-of-the-art solid-state flash disks designed as drop-in replacements for 3.5" and 2.5" ATA and SCSI mechanical hard disks. The FFD line operates at high altitudes, extreme shocks and vibrations at industrial temperature ranges while providing free maintenance data storage solution.

M-Systems' FFD 3.5" Ultra Narrow SCSI product line is available now. Please contact your M-Systems representative for purchase information.
