3/24/2003 - Accelent Systems Inc. aligns innovative, embedded device relationships through the new Accelent Alliance Program. A solid base of charter members launches the Accelent Alliance. The Accelent Alliance is a community of globally established and emerging companies offering embedded device products and services that support the Microsoft Windows CE .NET operating system and Pocket PC platform. The power behind Accelent Systems’ new alliance enables members to get a “jump start” on emerging development efforts for new devices – without the overhead of additional resources.
Accelent Alliance Members are eligible to incorporate technology in Accelent Systems’ Schema Development SuiteTM, a software tool for wireless and PDA development. Schema Development Suite consists of over 100 device drivers that accelerate the development process - quickly and easily facilitating the creation of Board Support Packages (BSPs) for products of tomorrow.
Accelent Systems encourages companies to share in advancing embedded technologies. “It is often said that hard times in the industry bring about the most innovation. Maybe it’s because these tough periods also seem to encourage more cooperation. Without the extra resources needed to branch out into new specialties, many companies are joining forces – and technologies – to get a jump on emerging applications.” (WIRELESS SYSTEMS DESIGN – ALLIANCES BREATHE NEW LIFE INTO PDAS AND SMART PHONES– January / February, 2003 issue, http://www.planetee.com/)
