Third Party Validates Anritsu's 3GPP Mobile Terminal Test System

3/21/2003 - Anritsu's 3G W-CDMA TRX/Performance Test Solution has passed validation by an independent Test House in Europe. The validation assures the conformity of the test system, which is designed to automatically perform analysis on transmitter/receiver characteristics as well as conduct performance tests based on the 3GPP open standards.

Developed to analyze mobile terminals used in 3G W-CDMA mobile networks, Anritsu's test system can be used during manufacturing to ensure interconnection between 3GPP base stations and mobile terminals. It conducts all four parts required in a conformance test - analyzing transmission/reception characteristics, performance test, RRM test, and protocol test. The test system conducts transmission/reception characteristics based on the R&TTE directive, so that all W-CDMA mobile phone terminals passing Anritsu's conformance test system are assured to conform to all items required by the R&TTE directive.

The independent Test House re-verified the conformity of the verification results of transmission/reception characteristics and hardware specifications. Through the re-verification process, the results found by Anritsu's test system were verified. Validation by independent third parties is part of Anritsu's commitment to being a leader in digital mobile test solutions.
