3/19/2003 - QNX Software Systems, the industry leader in realtime, microkernel OS technology, announced that embedded training specialist i-Logics will offer QNX-certified training in Southeast Asia, beginning this month. The training courses, offered to both industrial developers and academic students through the i-Logics Authorized QNX Training Center, will cover a full range of QNX products, including the QNX Neutrino® RTOS and QNX® Momentics® development suite.
"The success of an embedded systems manufacturer is highly dependent on the skill of its developers, which makes in-depth training a critical element of growth, for individual organizations and for the market as a whole," said Sanjay SK, general manager, marketing at i-Logics. "Combining the robust QNX offerings with one of the world's best training programs and our proven techniques will provide the Asia Pacific market with an enriched pool of highly skilled embedded developers. The high-end training will help ensure the talent is available to meet the rapidly growing demand for embedded developers across the globe."
i-Logics, headquartered in Singapore, specializes in realtime embedded training. The company will offer two QNX courses: a three-and-a-half month diploma and a five-to-ten day certificate course. The first training center will be located in Singapore, with additional centers in India, Malaysia, and Indonesia slated to open later this year.
"QNX recognizes that getting products to market is the top priority for most OEMs, and this is an important step in shortening the learning curve for developers in the region and ensuring that the skills to maximize QNX technology are widely held," said Kimm Krueger, director, Indirect Channels, QNX Software Systems. "This progam will develop a new base of QNX-trained developers that can help companies streamline the development life cycle of their products and help support our rapidly growing base of customers located throughout the region."
