OpenTV's exhibit focus will be on reaching European producers, content developers and broadcasters in an effort to gain their interest in enhanced television by showcasing programmer and advertiser content that has been enriched with interactivity. OpenTV will be showcasing enhanced television from its partners, highlighting how interactive television is making TV better around the world.
On March 27th, Regis Saint Girons, Managing Director of OpenTV Europe, will moderate a panel at MILIA, featuring operators from around the world to discuss how they are increasing revenues through winning interactive content and services.
In addition to enhanced television, OpenTV will showcase its games and entertainment channel, PlayJam. "We believe that multiplayer gaming is the next step in the evolution of interactive gaming," said James Ackerman, CEO of OpenTV. "Our experience has shown that interactive gaming is engaging viewers and helping operators to build loyalty and reduce churn. And through the multiplayer game offering, we can extend that experience beyond the TV making the PlayJam brand portable to new platforms like PDAs and mobile phones."
