3/17/2003 - LCX Software Inc., a leading provider of high quality, "turn-key" in-circuit/functional test development solutions; announced that they have become a “Value Added Partner” (VAP) for Corelis, Inc. The Value Added Partner (VAP) program was initiated by Corelis to combine their expertise in test strategies and boundary-scan implementation techniques with third parties that have extensive experience with in-circuit test (ICT) and other electronic test techniques. The VAP program helps electronics manufacturers with the rapid development and deployment of complete test systems by migrating resources and talents from a large and varied group of experts from within the electronic test industry.
To qualify for the Corelis Value Added Partner program, LCX Software had to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of boundary-scan principles and demonstrate how these principles are incorporated into complete test scenarios from within the manufacturing environment. In addition, companies that become VAPs must exhibit exceptional proficiency with the Corelis ScanPlus system.
“By incorporating the Corelis ScanPlus system, LCX Software will considerably enhance their extensive line of existing services. With the addition of the Corelis ScanPlus system, LCX Software will be able to offer a wide variety of additional testing applications that include; stand-alone boundary-scan testing without the need of a traditional test fixture, high-speed parallel FLASH programming, In-System Programming (ISP), and virtual testing of non-boundary-scan devices such as memory and standard logic devices”, said Jerry Crowley, Vice President from LCX Software. “The combination of LCX Software’s experienced senior staff and extensive resources, along with the introduction of Corelis’ ScanPlus software, will allow LCX Software engineers to work with designers early in the product cycle to ensure that their design will be fully compatible with the complete array of currently available test methodologies. Utilizing LCX Software’s experience and resources will significantly decrease the time it takes to get a test solution in place during the earliest possible point in the design cycle, without sacrificing the flexibility to add additional testing capabilities later in the development/manufacturing process.”
LCX Software, Inc. will offer boundary-scan test services based on Corelis’ ScanPlus system from its headquarters in New Hampshire.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity to include LCX Software in our VAP program. LCX Software has acquired an excellent reputation in providing high-quality test services. Their extensive knowledge of test systems extends beyond boundary-scan and into many areas of in-circuit and functional testing”, said Jim Rodgers, Technical Marketing Manager at Corelis, Inc.
Corelis’ ScanPlus boundary-scan test and ISP systems are currently used by leading electronics companies such as Agilent, Cisco, HP, Intel, Broadcom, Boeing, Honeywell, Jabil Circuit, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell, Solectron, and others. By offering an extensive line of service programs, including the VAP, Corelis can offer its customers complete solutions, extending beyond boundary-scan into far-reaching areas of electronic test.
