Fujitsu Siemens Computers Receives Awards from iF Industrie Forum

3/14/2003 - A whole range of products from Fujitsu Siemens Computers have won the coveted iF design award 2003 from iF Industrie Forum in the Product Design, Communication and Entertainment sector. The prizewinners were the SCENIC professional PC family, the SCENIC W professional PC, the CELSIUS workstations, the STYLISTIC Tablet PC and the Premium Line of LCD monitors. An international jury selected 358 products from the several thousand submitted, taking into account criteria such as design quality, user-friendliness, environmental compatibility etc. Some of the products were the fruit of close cooperation between our design agency, designafairs, and the Fujitsu Design Center.

With its global product family incorporating the SCENIC C (small form factor), SCENIC E, the SCENIC N desktop, SCENIC P microtower and the expandable SCENIC W tower models, Fujitsu Siemens Computers have built up a comprehensive portfolio of professional PCs. A range of modular security packages and desktop management packages allows the new professional PC product family to be tailored to the special requirements of small to medium-sized companies as well as large corporations.

The multifunction, extremely service-friendly tower model has plenty of scope for expansion, allowing it to be adapted to meet future requirements. It guarantees the very highest levels of reliability and availability.

It is not just the innovative design of these workstations that makes them so impressive; their performance is equally outstanding, which means that the CELSIUS is the ideal platform for architects, design engineers and designers. The systems can be configured flexibly and provide cutting-edge RAM technology (dual channel DDR-SDRAM) and AGP 8x graphics, making them ideal for optimum performance and system throughput. And the use of the latest Intel processors with Hyper-Threading Technology delivers even greater performance.

Futuristic design and unique multifunctionality are the key features of the new tablet PC from Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The Stylistic ST 4110 Tablet PC not only looks good; it has capabilities that traditional PCs can only dream of. It takes only a couple of moments to remove it from its docking station, releasing a portable PC which weighs in at just 1.4 kg, stands a mere 2.2 cm high and is no larger than a sheet of A4 paper, making it a supremely versatile piece of equipment. Any Windows-based application will run on this practical machine. The Tablet PC was developed for professional use in areas where desktop PCs and notebooks simply don't fit the bill. "Electronic ink" allows users to add comments to documents, jot down handwritten notes and distribute wireless data, all with a simple pen-stroke.

LCD monitors
The iF design award 2003 is testimony to the successful design of the new LCD monitors from Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Users of these new monitors benefit from their outstanding ergonomics and ease of use. The displays are available in 15", 17" and 19" formats. Depending on the format chosen, the resolution ranges from 1024 x 768 pixels through 1280 x 1024 pixels, offering ample scope for a wide range of applications. The silver and black design elements not only harmonize perfectly with the Fujitsu Siemens Computers PCs, but also provide a state-of-the-art image without making any compromises with regard to ergonomics.
