3/13/2003 - American Arium announced debug support for the core processor in Intelís CentrinoTM mobile technology. The ECM-20, Ariumís state-of-the-art in-target probe for Intel 32-bit processors, is the first commercially available emulation and debugging solution for designers and programmers using the new Intel® Pentium® M processor.
"Once again, American Arium has worked closely with Intel Corporation to create a top notch debug solution for IA-32 architecture," said Jeff Acampora, vice president, Sales & Marketing. "The Intel Centrino mobile technology, coupled with the Pentium M processor represents the future of wireless notebook computing, and weíre there to help developers get designs finished ahead of the competition."
The ECM-20 incorporates best-of-breed functionality and a feature rich set of run-control emulation functions for excellent manipulation of code. The ECM-20 works in real time with all processor frequencies, provides accurate breakpoint functionality, and works with todayís most popular compilers. SourcePointTM, Ariumís companion software, offers exceptional visibility to the code via a series of intuitive screens and dialog boxes with numerous viewing options. In addition, Ariumís solution provides access to unique on-die triggering functionality that was once only available through the use of expensive logic analysis equipment. This combination delivers the best debug solution on the market today for mobile processors.
Intel Centrino technology incorporates the Intel® Pentium® M processor, the Intel® 855PM and Intel® 855GM chipsets, and Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 network connectivity based on 802.11b (Wi-Fi) networking protocols. The Intel® Pentium® M processor incorporates outstanding mobile performance while enabling sleek notebook PC designs with extended battery life.
