NEC Micro Systems Joins MagmaTies Certified Design Center Program

(Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, announced that NEC Micro Systems, Ltd. has successfully established a design methodology based on Magma technology and completed the certification process to become Magma's first MagmaTies design center in Japan. NEC Micro Systems has successfully completed a number of chips and is currently working on multiple system LSI designs for major system manufacturers.

NEC Micro Systems and Magma are developing and implementing a system-on-chip (SoC) design platform for nanometer designs. In this competitive market, designers need the fastest path to convert their ideas into reality. This design platform will provide the necessary qualified libraries and IPs integrated into the tools for "The Fastest Path from RTL to Silicon"TM, targeted toward high-volume manufacturing processes along with the segment-specific design expertise. This unique concept has already provided impressive results at NEC Micro Systems, demonstrating proven success.
