(NYSE: TEK), a leading provider of logic analysis and signal integrity tools, announced the TLA7Axx modules with P68x0 probes for the TLA700 Series logic analyzers have been selected as a finalist in two industry awards programs - the EDN 2002 Innovation of the Year Awards and Product Design and Development 2002 Engineering Awards.
The EDN Innovation of the Year Awards program, sponsored by EDN Magazine, is dedicated to honoring truly outstanding engineering products in the electronics industry. About the TLA7Axx Modules with P68x0 Probes
Six new acquisition modules for the TLA700 Series logic analyzers - TLA7Axx - bring unmatched performance to help digital designers meet challenges ranging from bus debug chores to the most elusive signal integrity problems. All TLA7Axx modules set a new industry benchmark with 8 GHz timing acquisition rate and provide a range of state acquisition rates from 120 MHz to 800 MHz with data rates of up to 1.25 Gb/s. With 125 picosecond timing resolution on all acquisition channels, all the time, the TLA7Axx modules can reveal timing, state, and embedded software problems on today's fastest processors and buses.
The acquisition memory of the modules, with up to 256 million samples, is deep enough to capture long time spans, even at high clock rates. This feature, plus the system's ability to support 34, 68, 102, 136 channel configurations and up to 680 channels on a single timebase using up to five merged modules at full performance, is in keeping with the advancing complexity and pin counts of today's processors and chipsets.
The logic analyzer modules' P6810/60/80 probes deliver an active logic analyzer probing system that provides high-quality analog/digital signal measurements with or without PCB connectors. It is a high-performance probing solution with only 0.7 picofarads (pf) of capacitance and provides singled-ended & differential measurements with no channel count tradeoffs. In addition, with analog and digital acquisition through a single P68x0 probe, designers no longer need to double probe a specific area of the board, which is difficult, time consuming and increases the impact on the signals under test.
