2/21/2003 - IP Infusion's ZebOSTM Advanced Routing Suite (ARS) expands support for the Intel® IXP4XX and IXP2XXX network processor product lines as well as the Intel® IXC1100 control plane processor. IP Infusion's advanced routing software will provide Intel's network and control processors with extensive IP routing protocol support; helping vendors to create a robust solution for a variety of access networking applications.
During the Intel Developer Forum, IP Infusion will be demonstrating the ZebOS ARS on the Intel® IXP2400 network processor and the Intel® IXC1100 control plane processor by showing OSPF failover and route recovery on a demonstration network. One node of this network will be the IXDP2400 reference platform running ZebOS protocol code and Intel SDK forwarding code; while the other node will be the IXC1100 reference board, also running ZebOS.
Additionally, IP Infusion will be demonstrating a home gateway software solution based upon the Intel® IXP425 network processor running the MontaVista Linux operating system. Attendees of the Intel Developers Forum, being held in San Jose, CA, February 18 - 20, can visit IP Infusion in booth 513-9.
"At IDF, we will be demonstrating our ZebOS offering on the Intel IXP425 and IXP2400 network processors, and the Intel IXC1100 control plane processors, stated Gary Hemminger, Vice President of Marketing at IP Infusion. "IP Infusion's software now supports a broad range of control and data plane processor solutions from Intel. This integration allows communications equipment manufacturers to rapidly build access, edge, core, enterprise, security, wireless, and storage area networking solutions using our software and Intel's control and data plane processors. IP Infusion can now show the ability to scale from the home to the core of the network using Intel components."
