Extended Systems Powers New Gartner Mobile Conference Portal
As a key vendor at the Gartner mobile and wireless conference, Extended Systems has provided the technology to mobilize Gartner's new Mobile Conference Portal, allowing conference attendees to use a variety of handheld devices, laptops and WAP-enabled mobile phones on the show floor to access up-to-the-minute conference information including session details, speaker bios, workshop details, and more.
Additionally, show attendees using the Gartner Mobile Conference Portal, powered by Extended Systems' OneBridge mobile solutions platform, will have the ability to use their mobile devices to submit real-time questions to conference speakers during speaker sessions – ultimately helping to create a more interactive and educational speaking environment while improving the overall conference experience.

This presentation will also feature David Stevens, trade marketing controller and project manager at Twentieth Century Fox, who will share how Extended Systems' mobile technologies have helped increase Twentieth Century's DVD and VHS sales by 10%, while revolutionizing the company's field marketing operations.

Scott Stingley, director of alliances at Extended Systems, will share real-world insight on enterprise mobile deployments by delivering a customer case study presentation on Twentieth Century Fox. The presentation, entitled "Picture-Perfect Mobile Field Applications," will reveal how Extended Systems works with customers like Twentieth Century Fox to develop and deploy a comprehensive mobile solution for retail field forces. Stingley will address how Extended Systems' technology was able to help increase VHS and DVD sales by 10% by streamlining Twentieth Century Fox's sales and merchandising efforts to better control inventory, monitor product returns, and track new release sales success. Extended Systems, in collaboration with HP and Cingular, will feature a customized, mobile SAP application in its booth (#4). Using Extended Systems' OneBridge mobile solutions platform, HP iPAQs and Cingular's wireless network, the demonstration connects a myriad of devices into an SAP system where users can get real-time access to customer orders, customer histories, and inventory information. The demonstration will also be shown in HP's booth (#12) at the Gartner show.
