2/20/2003 - Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE: TEK), the worldwide oscilloscope market leader and logic analyzer performance leader, announced it will demonstrate the industry's most complete validation and compliance solutions for implementing emerging serial data standards at the Spring Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2003, February 18-21 in San Jose, California.
Highlighting its leadership in confronting the challenges associated with the industry-wide shift from parallel to serial bus architectures, industry experts from Tektronix will demonstrate robust solutions during conference sessions and in various standards pavilions.
"Beginning with the introduction of the CSA7404 (11/4/01) and continuing with the TDS6604 (1/7/02), TDSJIT3 (4/1/02), and TLA7Axx (4/1/02), Tektronix charted a path with tools for our customers facing the paradigm shift from parallel to serial bus technology" said Colin Shepard, Vice President and General Manager, Oscilloscope Products, Tektronix. "Now, our domain expertise in the validation and compliance of serial bus architectures, as demonstrated by the prominence of our instruments and solutions at this IDF, is a beacon for our customers traveling this road of innovation."
Tim Margeson will give a hands-on demonstration of the TDS6604 digital storage oscilloscope's (DSO) serial data capabilities in the Serial ATA Motherboard Signal Quality Testing Lab (DSIL20). The InfiniBand pavilion (Booth #116) will feature the CSA7404 running TDSJIT3 for real-time InfiniBand compliance, and the TDS8000B for time domain reflectometer (TDR) testing of high-speed interconnects.
As a part of the PCI-Express (PCI-E) Compliance Test Lab Session (PCIL151), Mike Engbretson and Pete Shumway will demonstrate Tektronix' analog and digital validation solution for PCI-E, which will also be displayed in the PCI-E pavilion (Booth #107). This unique solution includes Tektronix' TDS6604 DSO with PCI Express Real-Time Eye (RT-Eye™) Demonstration Software, TLA700 Series logic analyzer with the prototype TMS817 PCI-E bus support, and the newly announced P7350 5-GHz differential probe (Read press release: New Differential Probe and Customer-Requested Features For Tektronix Oscilloscopes Boost Productivity, Simplify Analysis). Tektronix' Gigabit Ethernet compliance solution (TDSET2) will also be featured at the show.
