2/19/2003 - IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, announced that it will support the new RadiSys ENP-2611, a PCI-based Intel® IXP2400 platform. IP Infusion's ZebOSTM Advanced Routing Suite (ARS) will be integrated with the ENP-2611, resulting in high- performance router reference design solutions targeted at edge and core network equipment manufacturers.
In today's challenging environment, networking equipment vendors are looking more than ever to reduce development time and costs. Leveraging the growing infrastructure surrounding the network processing industry, including protocol code from independent software vendors and development boards featuring the latest network processors, can assist in meeting theses goals. By utilizing the RadiSys ENP-2611, developers will be able to easily evaluate the integration of IP Infusion's ZebOS control plane code and the CP-PDK portion of Intel's Sofware Development Kit (SDK), the forwarding plane solution for the IXP2400.
The RadiSys ENP-2611 integrated with IP Infusion's ZebOS ARS will provide a reference environment that is inexpensive and straight-forward to implement, allowing networking vendors to quickly establish a base for new product development.
"IP Infusion is looking forward to supporting the new RadiSys ENP-2611. An IXP2400 board based on the PCI form factor, when coupled with ZebOS ARS, will provide an ideal platform for a variety of networking applications," said Chuck Sannipoli, Vice President and General Manager of the Network Processor Group at IP Infusion. "Our initial integration work will be porting our ZebOS protocol code to the RadiSys IXP2400 board."
"IP Infusion's support for the RadiSys ENP-2611 is an excellent example of how the Intel® Internet Exchange Architecture Developer Network provides best-in-class third party products that complement Intel's family of network processors," said Fred Yentz, RadiSys vice president & general manager. "We believe that the combination of our ENP-2611 and advanced IP routing suites from IP Infusion provides makers of Next Generation Network equipment with a powerful solution that reduces their time-to-market."
About IP Infusion's ZebOS Routing Suites
