XEMICS Introduce Low Cost Transceiver Development Platform
2/14/2003 - XEMICS has enhanced its design-in tools line-up with the new Starter Kit low-cost development platform. The XE1202SK enables the demonstration of two way communication between two Radio boards to facilitate 'out of the box' range-testing demonstration. A PC graphical user interface enables a simple but practical development environment for evaluation of the RF transceiver. The XE1202SK performs basic functions with a Ping-Pong Demo as the default configuration, plus features such as XE1202 register configuration and transmission/reception of a serial data stream between two units.
With prices at $250 per kit, which includes two main boards, RF modules, instructions and software, this is a low cost tool kit enabling RF evaluation of the XE1202SK basic functions of; configuration in transmitter receiver or sleep mode, frequency deviation selection, filter bandwidth and output power management.
The easy to use XE1202SK enables the demonstration of two way communication between two Radio boards, practical demonstration with an easy to use ping-pong demo, "range" and "site survey" testing but also the evaluation of the RF transceiver through a user friendly PC GUI interface. The demo can be customized with user settings. In addition the user can select between three frequencies and four output powers.
