2/14/2003 - Marimba, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRBA), the Software Change-Management Company, announced the Marimba® Professional Certification program, which enables customers and partners to be more successful by promoting and validating high levels of proficiency with Marimba products.
"Providing our customers and partners with greater educational options will help to reduce their support costs, and reduce the time required to deliver the benefits of our products," said Craig Parks, vice president of customer services for Marimba. "Demand for a program that promotes quality in technical staffing has been growing - and we believe that this offering will further differentiate our world-class services and support organization in the competitive marketplace."
Marimba Certifies IT Professionals Through Enhanced Educational Program
This new program offers a combination of Web-based testing and hands-on practical examinations. Candidates may achieve the Certified Marimba Professional (CMP) and/or the Certified Marimba Consultant (CMC) designations, depending upon the certification track they choose to pursue.
Certification tracks are immediately available for Desktop Management Administrators, Server Management Administrators, Application Packagers, and System Architects. Each track consists of two to four tests, covering the key subject areas for each professional certification. Tests for both Unix and Windows platforms are available.
Marimba plans to make available additional certification tracks later in 2003. The certification program is integrated with Marimba's professional education program, so that students are able to leverage their classroom experience as they seek certification.
