Cygnal Grows for 10 Consecutive Quarters

2/12/2003 - Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc., the Austin-based semiconductor company specializing in mixed signal flash microcontrollers, announced that their tenth consecutive quarter of revenue growth occurred in the fourth quarter of 2002. These results reinforce Cygnal’s unique market position and business strategy.

"Cygnal consistently grew market share and revenue throughout the worst period in semiconductor industry history," said Derrell Coker, President and CEO of Cygnal. "We are confident that we will continue to gain traction in the market and build on this momentum."

The Company’s current trend of revenue growth dates back to the third quarter of 2000, when Cygnal introduced their first products. Cygnal experienced 3.7 times revenue growth year-over-year from the fourth quarter of 2001 to the fourth quarter of 2002. With quarterly sequential revenue growth of 26% recorded in the fourth quarter of 2002, the Company looks forward to a promising 2003.

Semiconductor industry sales declined by 32% to $139 billion in 2001, followed by a slight recovery with 1.3% growth in 2002. Cygnal Integrated Products, though affected by the industry and economy, has gained traction in a competitive market and has demonstrated sustained growth.
