Brooktrout’s Products Compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Several leading information technology application vendors including Biscom, DVI, IVS/inTeleCare, and Optio Software will display Brooktrout’s voice and fax technology as an integral part of their healthcare and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) solutions such as medical dictation and transcription systems, and secure network fax solutions.

As mandatory compliance with the HIPAA guidelines comes into effect, most healthcare information systems and applications are required to adopt standards for the electronic exchange of specific healthcare information.
