2/10/2003 - Zendex Corporation of Dublin, California has licensed General Software's Embedded BIOSTM 2000 for its newest project -- the ZXE-ST586/104P -- a PC/104 Plus format, full-featured single board computer.
Based on the high-performance, low-cost ST Microelectronics Atlas System-On-Chip, the ZXE-ST586/104P is ideal for space-limited applications and rugged commercial or industrial environments with a wide range of memory and I/O capabilities. Available now, the ZXE-ST586/104P comes standard with Linux installed and is capable of running DOS, QNX, and Windows.
"General Software offered us more that just impressive BIOS firmware," commented Howard Czapla, Zendex CEO and president. "Their sales and support team was there for us all along the way -- before and after the sale. They offered us options and alternatives, and really guided us through the selection process."
"Zendex has managed to design a full-featured SBC in a very small and impressive footprint," commented Matthew J. Schiltz, General Software president and CEO. "They combined a long list of features into a very small package, making this a great alternative for customers looking for a replacement for the ZF Micro ZFx86 PC104 boards."
