Imaging Kits for Wireless Applications Available from Kane Computing

2/6/2003 - Kane Computing are now shipping the ATEME IEK C5509 Imaging Kit. The IEK C5509 has been produced to develop portable systems in imaging and telecommunications.

The kit is based on the TMS320C5509 DSP from Texas Instruments, which is supported with 4MB SDRAM, 8MB Flash, FPGA and multimedia memory card interface.

The imaging section includes NTSC or PAL video input and output plus CD quality video input and output and I2C link. General interfaces include USB, serial links (RS-232 and RS-422/LVDS/McBSP), 8 GPIO lines, 4 analogue inputs and TI cross-platform daughter slot.

A comprehensive development environment, Code Composer Studio is available with the IEK C5509 together with a range of standard video and audio compression algorithms, including JPEG/Motion JPEG, JPEG2000, MPEG2, H263, MPEG4, MPEG4-AAC and MPEG4-CELP.
