Marimba Announces Appointment of Richard Novak Appointed Vice President of North American Sales
2/3/2003 - Marimba, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRBA), the Software Change-Management Company, appointed Richard Novak to vice president of North American sales, who will be responsible for Marimba's North American direct and indirect sales operations. He succeeds Matt Thompson, who has left the company. Marimba also announced that Adrian Rayner has been appointed to general manager, Europe, responsible for all of Marimba's European direct and indirect sales operations. Both executives will report directly to Rich Wyckoff, Marimba's president and chief executive officer.
"I'm very pleased to have Rich and Adrian on my team. They both have the management experience and sales leadership abilities that should help Marimba realize its long term potential," said Rich Wyckoff.
Novak has more than 15 years of sales management experience. Previously, Novak served as vice president of sales for Marimba's Northwest region. Before joining Marimba, Novak served as vice president and general manager of Net Perceptions, an e-commerce marketing software and services company. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales at MicroStrategy, a business intelligence software and services company. Novak has also held sales management positions at Tandem Computers, General Electric, and Honeywell Information Systems. Novak holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Southern Illinois University.
Rayner is based in the United Kingdom and is a veteran software and services executive with more than 20 years of sales and management experience in software, hardware and consulting services. Previously, Rayner held the position of vice president and managing director of Europe for Marimba. Prior to joining Marimba, Rayner served as vice president, Europe, of IntelliCorp, Inc., the specialist SAP consultancy. Prior to Intellicorp, Rayner was UK sales director at Boole & Babbage, Inc. He has also held sales management positions with Marconi and Philips Business Systems. Rayner holds a B.S. degree in Electronics from King's College, University of London.
