DSL Rolls Out Highly Integrated Touchscreen System
12/15/2003 - DSL has launched a range of new open frame Touchscreen Systems with 6.4", 8.4" and 10.4" TFT LCD's. The systems are fully PC/104 compliant allowing simple expansion using custom or off the shelf peripheral cards.
An onboard 166/200MHz CPU supplies ample processing power for Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) and Point-of-Sale (POS) applications. The unit is fully Network enabled with its onboard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection whilst 2 USB and 4 serial ports allow additional external devices to interface to the unit.
Integrated IDE, parallel and floppy ports mean that mechanical and silicon drives can be implemented for development and application software storage purposes. AC97 compliant Audio provides the system with MIC In, Line In and line out capability.
A Windows CE.NET image can be pre-loaded onto a 32MB Disk-on-Module and supplied as a complete "boot from the box" solution. A full Board Support Package is also available FREE OF CHARGE for customers with Platform Builder 4.1 or 4.2.
