12/12/2003 - The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced that Florida’s Okaloosa County School District has awarded the company an IT infrastructure management contract having a potential value of $70 million over ten years. Under this award, Titan will provide IT Management Outsourcing services to the entire district, which encompasses 43 sites and includes approximately 34,000 students, faculty and administrative personnel.
"This single-source contract extends Titan's excellent partnership with the Okaloosa County School District and expands Titan's outsourcing offerings," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president and CEO. "Furthermore, it demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the K-12 Education community with alternative solutions to improve services in support of their enterprises with consideration for effectively using their budget dollars."
Under the contract, Titan will provide desktop and laptop computers, network servers, and supporting services, including help desk support, remote desktop management, asset management, and local and wide area network support and management. The company will also provide a wide range of related technical support services such as technology retrofits, web site development and maintenance, and commercial off-the-shelf software applications.
