Intuit Selects SQL Anywhere to Power CRM Applications

12/12/2003 - iAnywhere Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), announced that Intuit selected SQL Anywhere® to power its QuickBooks® Customer Manager and QuickBooks Client Manager applications for small businesses and accountants. Intuit's new customer relationship management applications rely on the industry leading embedded database from iAnywhere to provide small businesses with timely access to critical customer information. Attendees of this week's Intuit Developers Conference can view demonstrations of these products at the iAnywhere booth (#39).

"SQL Anywhere uniquely provides superior power and reliability in a small footprint, embeddable database," said Ann Diederich, director for QuickBooks Customer Manager at Intuit. "Our small business customers often do not have a database administrator on staff so they need a solution that works out of the box."

"Hundreds of application providers worldwide have embraced SQL Anywhere as the embedded database of choice to power enterprise solutions targeting small to medium sized businesses," said Brian Vink, vice president of marketing at iAnywhere. "We are excited to team with Intuit, as our companies share a vision of delivering powerful solutions that are easy to set up, learn and use."

QuickBooks® Customer Manager and QuickBooks Client Manager help small businesses and accountants build deeper relationships with their customers. These new applications from Intuit leverage SQL Anywhere to easily organize and link critical customer information in one central location. Contact information, QuickBooks invoices and sales orders, projects, appointments, notes and much more can be immediately accessed from a single dashboard-like screen. Both products link with current releases of other software programs such as QuickBooks financial software, Microsoft® Outlook, Word and Excel to help eliminate redundant data entry.
