12/11/2003 - As part of its on-going commitment to advancing the widespread adoption of mobility, Broadbeam Corporation, a company with more than 10 years of expertise in developing and deploying mission-critical mobile solutions for enterprise customers, is offering 10,000 of its intuitive Mobile Development Environments (MDE) free beginning today. Providing for the rapid design and development of mobile applications in the enterprise, the offering will be available via www.broadbeam.com on a first come, first served basis.
"Broadbeam strongly believes in the features and benefits of the Mobile Development Environment for mobile application developers," said Janet Boudris, Chairman and CEO, Broadbeam Corporation. "As the next step in Broadbeam’s commitment to furthering mobile application development, we are inviting developers to use the MDE and see how easy it has become to develop a robust, well-designed mobile application in a relatively short period of time."
The MDE is part of Broadbeam’s mobile framework, Mobile Solutions SystemÔ (MSS) The MDE offers a powerful, intuitive and user-friendly visual development environment that can be used to create mobile optimized applications from the data source simply by dragging and dropping objects and automatically generating end-to-end code for both client and server with one click. MSS products provide executable software for the performance of specific mobile functions within the application. These products include a Thin client, which supports wirelessly connected applications for interactive communication, Rules-based Notifications (RBN) that ensure important information reaches mobile users, Local Intelligence Cache and Synch (LIC&S), providing for offline operation and synchronization of local data in a mobile environment, and ExpressQÒ, robust Message Queuing software, which delivers critical data and compensates for 2G+ limited coverage and performance by providing store and forward messaging with guaranteed delivery.
Broadbeam recently announced participation in Intel’s Mobilized Software Initiative, a series of industry activities established to accelerate the era of fully distributed computing and enable the mobilized work/lifestyle. As part of the program, Broadbeam’s Mobile Solutions System (MSS) was featured along with other compatible development technologies at Intel’s "Mobilized Software Occasion” in November and is included in Intel’s Developer Dispatch technology preview program for companies who have early access to Intel Software Development platforms outfitted with Intel® CentrinoTM mobile technology.
