PC World Norway Selects Trolltech Qtopia Product of the Year

12/5/2003 - Trolltech announced that PC World Norway has awarded Qtopia a Product of the Year Award for 2003. The award is an acknowledgment of technological innovation and Qtopia is recognized for placing Norway on the IT map with its application platform for embedded Linux-based consumer electronics.

PC World Norway states that Qtopia presents the user with a high quality, well developed system, providing a powerful and user-friendly interface. "Qtopia leaves nothing to be desired compared to rivals Symbian, Microsoft and Palm," says the PC World Norway jury.

"Winning PC World Norway's Product Award emphasizes Qtopia as a viable alternative in the market for mobile handheld devices," says President and co-founder Eirik Chambe-Eng. "It acknowledges the work of our excellent team and confirms Trolltech's efforts to deliver high-quality, innovative technology solutions."

Trolltech is recognized with PC World Norway's Products of the Year Award together with AMD64, Microsoft Office System 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Olympus E-1, Opera 7, Symantec pcAnywhere, 11, Shuttle XPC, Sony DRU-500AX and Sony Ericsson P800/P900.
