Compuware DevPartner Studio 7.1 Pro Places in Top Three for Award

11/24/2003 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) announced that Compuware DevPartner Studio 7.1 Professional Edition was selected as one of the top three finalists for PC Magazine's 20th Annual Technical Excellence Awards in the "Development Tools" category. The awards recognize the products and influencers that have advanced the state of technology and set new standards for technical innovation in 2003. Winners were announced at a special awards ceremony on November 17, 2003 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas during the Fall COMDEX Conference.

"These awards are for technical innovation, and we're quite pleased to see so many pioneering products this year," said Michael J. Miller, editor-in-chief of PC Magazine. "The winners and finalists selected are proof that the technology market continues to show amazing changes and breakthroughs."

The PC Magazine editorial staff and lab analysts chose from more than 35 products in 11 different categories, with one winner and two runner-up finalists being selected in each category.

"We are extremely honored that PC Magazine recognizes Compuware's innovative leadership in the development tools market," said Bob Barker, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Compuware Corporation. "Being selected as a finalist demonstrates that the PC Magazine editorial staff recognizes the value that DevPartner Studio brings to development teams, and further signifies Compuware's commitment to provide developers with a comprehensive suite of development tools that enables them to deliver better applications faster. We also congratulate our partner BEA Systems on their win and their continued success with WebLogic Workshop."

DevPartner Studio Professional Edition provides an award-winning suite of software development features that help developers build reliable, high-performance applications and components for Microsoft .NET as well as native Windows platforms. Building new .NET applications that may integrate with native components and moving existing native applications to .NET are tasks prone to integration and migration problems, coding errors and problems with runtime performance and test coverage. DevPartner Studio helps to locate errors early, to tune runtime performance and to assure thorough testing of applications written in .NET, native code or a combination of the two.
