11/19/2003 - With National Instruments new LabVIEW Math Interface Toolkit, engineers and scientists now can effectively integrate the advanced user interfaces, virtual instrument (VI) functionality and measurement hardware connectivity of the LabVIEW 7 Express graphical development environment into The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB analysis environment.
Using LabVIEW 7 Express and this new toolkit, engineers and scientists can quickly compile any LabVIEW code into a MEX function, delivering industry-leading I/O connectivity and advanced measurement analysis to the MATLAB environment.
The LabVIEW Math Interface Toolkit offers access to the LabVIEW interactive graphical user interface and also provides access to measurement platforms including PXI and VXI, and advanced communication protocols such as CAN, TCP/IP and GPIB for communication with stand-alone instruments. Because the converted LabVIEW VIs natively run in MATLAB, users can take advantage of the NI Instrument Driver Network (www.ni.com/idnet), which offers more than 2,200 free, downloadable LabVIEW instrument drivers from more than 150 vendors.
This toolkit is especially useful for LabVIEW users who need to reuse their code in the MATLAB environment for a wide range of applications in industries including aerospace, automotive and academics.
