SKY Computers Expands in Japan and Australia with New Partners

11/17/2003 - Expanding its presence throughout Asia, SKY Computers announced two new reseller and distribution agreements to deliver SKY's high-performance computing solutions to current and potential customers in military, aerospace and government markets in Japan and Australia.

SKY announced a reseller agreement with Cornes & Company, a Japanese trading company and a leading provider of electronics products and services for security, power, communications, defense and aerospace applications. As SKY's first reseller in Japan, Cornes' Systems and Equipment division will market SKY's high-performance computer systems. Cornes will mobilize an active group of sales and applications support staff for SKY products in Japan, following training sessions that were conducted in October.

SKY also announced a distributor agreement with Dedicated Systems Australia Pty Limited, a provider of real-time and embedded computing products in Australia and New Zealand. Dedicated Systems, based in Adelaide, South Australia, is staffed by industry specialists and focuses on off-the-shelf hardware and software solutions for the defense, communications and automotive markets.

Dedicated Systems joins another SKY partner in Australia, Acacia Research Pty Limited, a SKY reseller. Acacia will continue to provide technical resources for SKY and act as an integrator and support resource for customers and resellers throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

"We look forward to partnering with SKY to provide customers in this region with robust, high-performance embedded computing solutions for data-intensive applications and to extending our established working relationship with Acacia," said Walter Breunig, director of hardware engineering at Dedicated Systems.

"Our entry into Japan with Cornes and the expansion of our distribution capabilities in Australia with Dedicated Systems demonstrates SKY's commitment to the Asia-Pacific region and our continuing focus on providing superior support to SKY customers," said Mark Pezaro, director of sales, Pacific Rim and Middle East, SKY Computers.
