11/7/2003 - Traquair Data Systems, Inc. announced the availability of the bf3Net TCP/IP Protocol Stack for the TMS320C2800 series of DSP processors from Texas Instruments. The capability allows developers to internet-enable motor and embedded control applications utilizing TMS320C2800 DSP processors.
Leveraging Texas Instrument's eXpressDSPTM real-time software technology, and fully compliant with the TMS320TM DSP Algorithm Standard, bf3Net software reduces the time, cost and risk involved in developing reliable Internet-enabled embedded control applications. A flexible and powerful design platform, bf3Net provides standard support for TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP and IGMP protocols, and optional support for SMTP, DNS, DHCP, POP3, HTTP and FTP.
TMS320C2800 DSPs are the industry's first 32-bit control DSPs with on-board Flash memory and performance up to 150 MIPS, and a roadmap to 400MIPS. Offering developers an excellent combination of performance, integration, and code efficiency, they significantly reduce development time while delivering much higher performance than any other existing programmable DSP Controller.
bf3Net is developed and produced by Windmill Innovations and is the first-to-market eXpressDSP Compliant TCP/IP Protocol Stack supporting TMS320 DSP processors. bf3Net facilitates DSP development with tight Code Composer Studio IDE integration and full RFC compliant support for TMS320C2800, TMS320C5000TM, and TMS320C6000TM devices.
